As such, you should expect that you might hear from them, and you should also expect that they might not all share your viewpoint as to the relative merits of something you're requesting. But you chose to post this on a forum that is open to other users.

Well if you wanted to hear ONLY from the Reflect team, then perhaps you should have used a communication channel that only went to them, such as their Support email address. I would like an opinion from the Reflect Development Team thankyou! I do not have to go through hoops and loops to justify it to you why I want it. I am simply saying it would be handy if the fix boot problems had an option to add the boot entry for Reflect. It seems like a lot of work and potential additional complications just to avoid occasionally having to reach for a flash drive. And either way, if Fix Boot Problems doesn’t do what it’s supposed to for the main Windows entry, I suspect that with this capability it may be possible for users to end up with a PC that only boots into Rescue. Doing this from WinPE would require either looking for that entry in the current BCD and carrying it over - assuming the current BCD is readable and the Reflect option exists there - or else analyzing partitions to look for cached Rescue Media builds to identify where they are (not necessarily on C) and what builds exist in terms of WinPE/RE versions. You’re simultaneously noting that sometimes the existing intended function of Fix Boot Problems doesn’t work for you, and asking for it to do additional things. If so, I personally think the principle of keeping things simple applies here.

I accept this may be harder to do than it seems from Winpe mode, but it would be handy.Īre you talking about “Fix Boot PROBLEMS”? However on a couple of occasions, the fix Windows boot options has not worked, and I could not reinstate option, and I had to find my Reflect usb stick to get back into Reflect. OK, easy enough to go to Reflect and reinstate it when booted into Windows. It would be nice to have a checkbox where you could reinstate the boot option. When you use the Reflect "fix windows boot entry" option it rebuilds the bcd for the selected OS(s), but if you have an existing Reflect boot entry, that entry is not reinstated.
